Churches

Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano is one of the largest congregations in America with more than 24,000 members. It is a "dynamic community of faith, hope, and love, and exists to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ." Prestonwood offers multiple services for its large congregation - one Saturday night and two on Sunday morning. Dr. Jack Graham brought his gift for exciting people about Jesus to the role of senior pastor in 1989 and has published several books.

Watermark Community Church - One of the first questions people have for Watermark Community Church is, "Why are you called Watermark?" Among many other reasons, the church chose the name Watermark based on the actual definition - an impression made on a piece of paper or currency that is visible when it is held up to the light.. a symbol of authenticity and a symbol of quality or excellence. Watermark meets on Sunday mornings at 9 and 10:45 at Lake Highlands High School Auditorium and also provide Home Groups that "aim at providing an intimate pursuit of God, connection with a small group of believers, and a mission to touch the lives of those around you with the message of Christ.

Highland Park United Methodist Church began in 1915 when SMU students attended the first service in Dallas Hall, the landmark building of the university. The University Church was founded in 1916 with the current sanctuary built in 1927. HPUMC's sanctuary was recognized as a "Recorded Texas Historic Landmark" in 1995. Worship services take place on Sunday morning with services at 8:30, 9:30 and 11:00. The church also offers Sunday school based on several criteria such as age, marital status, and topics discussed.

Fellowshipe Bible Church White Rock's mission is to help connect people to God, which is based on Matthew 28:19-20 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." FBCWR began with a small group of believers who wanted to start a contemporary church in the White Rock area. The church met in a home for about a year and kept moving around until they settled in their current location at 10163 Shoreview Road.

121 Community Church has a vision of leading people to live for Jesus Christ. They believe the only wat to experience life to the fullest is through Jesus, with each believer to be involved in a passionate pursuit of an intimate relationship with Him. Their "theme" scripture verse is Phillipians 1:21 - "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." Services are offered Sunday morning at 9, 10:25 and 11:50 with available coffee, donuts and orange juice at each service.

Park Cities Presbyterian Church is a reformed church that references to the historical event of the 16th century Reformation and refers to specific theological distinctions, mainly those of Calvinist beliefs. Northwest Bible Church has a "diverse congregation that comes from all corners of the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex." NBC is a body of believers who seek to passionately follow Jesus Christ by worshipping, prayer, forming relationships, and declaring the Gospel to a lost world. A traditional service is offered Sunday morning at 8:30 with a contempary "Impact" service following at 9:45. Other classes and events are offered throughout the week such as small groups and sports teams.

Covenant Church has been in the North Texas for almost 30 years, ministering to families, communities and the world by encouraging a relationship with Jesus Christ. There is a diverse atmosphere at Covenant with all sorts of ethnic backgrounds spanning across the globe.
